Open Letter to Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change

Respected Dr Harsh Vardhan Ji                                                    21 May 2019

Heartiest congratulations for your projected win in the new Parliament. It is your good work, sir that has made your success possible.  I hope you shall continue in the same Ministry but even if you are entrusted with a new Ministry my request holds good.

Sir, You will agree that paying taxes is very painful not only at the lower level of society but right up to the richest person or enterprise. It pinches everyone when a substantial portion of his hard earned income is taken away from him. Our tax burden becomes very substantial when we combine Income Tax and GST . Taken together they take a good part of one’s earning at whatever level he is. At the same time everybody pays happily for any Goods or Services that he BUYs to meet his particular requirement. So sir, I have started a mission to motivate our Government decision makers starting from Hon’ble Prime Minister, to all Ministers and our bureaucracy to transform our economy from Tax base to Revenue base by selling Goods and Service that every Ministry produces and can offer. Logic behind this mission is that while Tax has to be paid by everyone even if he is not getting any direct or visible benefit but payment for goods and services is made for what one buys and that does not pinch.

Sir, I want to plant this idea in your mind that we have to stop charging taxes and make India first Tax Free country. That shall be the single most impactful selling point for next elections in 2024. But how is it possible?

Sir, to begin with you have to just start thinking what Goods and Services your Ministry can offer to society for which it will happily pay.  For this the first requirement is to know what assets your Ministry possesses that can be offered for sale. I have developed a methodology to evaluate all national assets – natural resources as well as concrete and financial assets. I enclose herewith a PPT that shall give you some inkling of the Methodology and its far reaching advantages.  I shall offer it to Government when I get an Alliance Partner as my fragile health does not permit me any physical activity.

Sir, even if the budget of your ministry is small but if all Ministries start generating revenue for their expenses then need for tax revenue shall go away altogether. I request you to kindly plant this idea in your mind as to how your ministry can become self sufficient to meet its operating and development cost.
